Modern games are built on sophisticated engines that handle everything from rendering to physics.

Unreal Engine

Epic Games' Unreal Engine has become the gold standard for AAA development.

Traditional rendering uses "rasterization" - a fast but approximate method. Ray tracing actually simulates light rays bouncing around a scene, creating:

Personal Reflection

As someone who's been gaming since childhood and now works in IT, I have a unique appreciation for the technology behind the entertainment. Every frame rendered at 60+ FPS represents thousands of calculations, network packets flying across the internet at near-light speed, and clever optimizations that make it all possible.

The fact that we can have dozens of players in a game world, with realistic physics, stunning graphics, and responsive controlsโ€”all running on consumer hardwareโ€”is a testament to the incredible engineering that goes into modern games.
